This talk explores the evolving role of finance ministries in modern economies. Traditionally focused on budgeting and financial management, finance ministries are increasingly taking a leading role in shaping economic policy. Dr Philipp Krause will discuss the key drivers and implications of this shift.
About the author: Dr Philipp Krause is an international expert in public finance and public administration. He has held positions at various organizations including CABRI, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s, and ODI in London. He also held various appointments with the World Bank, GIZ and the government of Mexico. He is also a visiting professor at the University of the Witwatersrand and an executive education faculty member at the Harvard Kennedy School. He currently serves as a director-at-large on the board of the African Economic Research Consortium.
